Eco-Friendly Concrete Sinks with a Modern Appeal

Some of you may remember Michelle Kaufman from my earlier post about her modular designed green homes. Well, Michelle Kaufman takes her design to a much smaller level with these sleek mkPure eco-friendly sinks.

With a contemporary silhouette and an organic feel, this eco-friendly sink can update and modernize almost any décor. From smooth lines to sustainable construction, the deceptively simple design hides the well-planned features of this gorgeous sink. For instance, the side of the sink offers a slightly indented space that holds soaps while the wider surface precludes the need for a separate vanity.

The concrete sink comes in three eco-friendly combinations of materials. The white concrete sink is created from concrete mixed with recycled porcelain from old sinks. The lighter linen-colored concrete sink is mixed with rice hulls, while the darker gray sink contains concrete mixed with fly ash and rice hulls.

Great design sometimes comes at a cost and this sink is no exception. Prices range from $1170 to $2550. But you are guaranteed a contemporary, eco-friendly sink that looks as great as it performs.
